Hi all i purchased a used Dyson from a friend for 20.00 a few weeks ago at present. I would like to think I'm fairly expert at taking things apart and then brought it every bit a project, the machine turned on but i later found that the caput assembly unit need replaced as the belt had burnt the housing it was cased in and information technology was well smashed up in the sole plate, i purchased a new assembly unit and fitted it today, and to my dispair information technology yet refuses to spin! :'(
i figured it must be the castor bar on off switch or the reset switch, Taking autonomously the switch unit i institute the probelm to be the reset switch as it was burnt out within,

to test this i joined the 2 wires up that was going to the reset switch and constitute it to work great :grinn:

My worry is now getting it all dorsum together again when i take ordered the new switch, i accept 2 springs I'yard not sure  i lost one does anyone know how many springs there should be in the switch unit ?

Also does anyone have a diagram or better still a video showing how to go the switch dorsum together once more

I kept the motor that spins the brush and this works well still i sympathise that its a role that can not be purchased is there a for auction page here ?

thanks for any advice

IM Sure THIS SPRING Cant BE IMPORTANT

is in that location a for sale page here ?

Many people send their spare stuff up to us and get a Paypal or a bank deposit in return. We can always use those. Send Claire or me a PM.

I am not aware of whatsoever videos out there yet for that aspect of the DC25, did yous get a new reset switch already? Nosotros tin get you one if not (I call back we have some actually) They are not dear....

Someone will likely put you lot a couple of photos up if yous are struggling. We don't accept a DC25 in $.25 here right now or we would. I am certain we will accept one in during the next few days though.

More to the signal, if your mate has whatever more DC25's @ 20, nosotros'll have 50 of them! ;D

these 2 pics should articulate up where the the springs go.....you may need to "hold up" the switch buttons equally you re-assemble - likewise fit rollerbrush button first!

I have no rollerbrush spinning - reset sw is fine (checked continuity) motor not spinning in brush housing - have looked at it/smelt information technology - it seems fine....need to bank check ability/upright sw....

Hope I've helped?

Mark

Update - establish the problem in the uprightswitch housing - just sharing this in instance information technology helps someone!
